"In 2021/2022, Stadtwerke Unna GmbH (SWU) developed its strategic corporate orientation until 2030 in a process moderated and suppoertes by con|energy unternehmensberatung.
Based on the company's fundamental market orientation and a vision for the future of the industries in general and SWU, corporate goals were defined qualitatively and assessed quantitatively. Subsequently, strategic approaches were developed for each business area in order to achieve the company's goals.
In doing so, the company's own performance - previously assessed through a strengths/weaknesses analysis - was also considered. The strategic approaches are specified in a programme of measures, which is subject to ongoing updating.
The results achieved are highly valuable and result in a vision for the future of the company that is commonly supported by the shareholders and the team of employees. The corporate strategy orientation is now transparent and comprehensible and contributes significantly to the achievement of the company's targets. The active support of con|energy unternehmensberatung was beneficial for the success of the project in many respects.
In addition to very good industry expertise, the consulting team has a high level of methodical competence. This is particularly noteworthy because the entire process had to be carried out online due to the pandemic situation.
The fact that the results did not suffer was due to the consultants' high level of digital competence. In terms of content, the process was enriched by various impulse lectures. This made it possible to broaden the view from the microcosm of a medium-sized municipal utility to a macro perspective of the energy industry. The quality of the results was thereby raised to a higher level.
